Board Member since incorporation of DDC in 2004 Mr. Jackson was educated on the Navajo Nation and presently lives in Window Rock, Arizona. His formal training is in the field of education. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Master’s degree in Education, both from Northern Arizona University. He served several terms as a Senator in the Arizona State Legislature, representing the interests of the Navajo Nation and the Navajo people. Mr. Jackson had an honorable career in the Arizona State Legislature and was able to complete many projects before his retirement. Mr. Jackson now works for Diné College in Tsaile, Arizona and heads up the Navajo Culture Programs offered by the College. He is considered an expert in educating others about the Navajo Culture. A significant part-time activity of his is organizing Navajo rodeo events. He was one of the organizers of the first Navajo Rodeo Cowboy Association. |
