No, DDC is required to own at least 51% of its subsidiary corporations and there is no reason to give up ownership in your company since you have the same opportunity to become SBA 8(a) certified as a DDC subsidiary company.  The only an advantage that DDC offers is if your already successful SBA 8(a) certified company is reaching its annual contract limits and you have to forego new business for that reason.
